Job Description

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to support multiple areas of our company. This position is for someone inspired by the opportunity to gain experience in renewable energy transactions, financial modeling, and new investment origination, while working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

 

The Analyst will assist the team in all aspects of working with our key partners, including capital providers, project development partners, and external asset management contractors. They will play a critical role in supporting greenfield project development and new market analysis. Responsibilities include detailed financial modeling, due diligence support, transaction management, asset management, new investment analysis and proposal assembly.

Qualifications

​

  • 0-4 years of renewable energy and/or finance experience (project finance, real asset investing, investment banking, or private equity is a plus)

  • Strong passion for and ideally experience in renewable energy, sustainable infrastructure, or climate tech

  • Excellent analytical abilities, including financial modeling and valuation

  • Interest in tax equity and project finance debt transactions

  • Familiarity with renewable energy project development and construction

  • Familiarity with due diligence management and counterparty coordination

  • Fast learner and strong willingness to be trained and developed

  • Organized, diligent, and able to track and manage multiple streams of information

  • Ability to work accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, and seek out additional responsibility

  • Excellent verbal, written, PowerPoint, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Team player, sense of humor, and mission-driven mindset

SR. PROJECT MANAGER - DEVELOPMENT, ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION

38DN is actively seeking a Senior Project Manager for Development, Engineering and Construction oversight.  We are seeking an individual who is a proactive, self-driven professional with extensive experience managing various aspects of construction, particularly for solar and battery storage projects.  This crucial role is tailored to construction professionals with an interest in long-term asset ownership.

​

In this capacity, you will:

  • Lead the selection process for contractors and equipment vendors, conducting comprehensive due diligence, including assessment of modules, inverters, racking, and medium-voltage equipment.

  • Negotiate and administer construction and supply agreements, encompassing official notices, change orders, RFIs, pay applications, construction updates, safety procedures, milestones, certificates, and commissioning.

  • Delve into site-specific design nuances and lead engineering drawing reviews.

  • Support the development of energy models and refining for value optimization.

  • Rigorously control project budgets and milestone payments, which includes meticulous internal reporting and forecasting.

  • Guarantee project quality by coordinating on-site inspections and liaising with third-party providers when necessary.

  • Regularly attend project progress meetings and conduct on-site visits with construction teams to ensure alignment with project design and schedule.

  • Systematically identify, monitor, and communicate project risks while keeping all project documentation up to date.

  • Effectively communicate project updates, risks, and issues both within the company and with external partners.

  • Serve as 38DN's in-house expert on project engineering, construction, and EPC contracting, offering insights and guidance across the organization, including to the project development and acquisition teams for pre-construction, development-stage projects.

  • Lead after-action reviews to cultivate continuous improvement and contribute to the evolution of internal operating policies and standards.

  • Following completion of construction, support handover to 38DN Asset Management.

  • Collaborate closely with developers, consultants, engineers, and other stakeholders; foster and manage relationships to ensure consistent engagement and alignment with project objectives.

  • Uphold the company's safety program standards, ensuring all projects comply with established safety protocols.

Qualifications

​

  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management, with a particular focus on and interest in renewable energy.

  • Relevant bachelor's degree preferred, advanced degree in a related field is valued but not mandatory.

  • Exceptional analytical skills, with a history of managing financial, technical, and contractual aspects of construction projects.

  • Experience with contract negotiation and overseeing due diligence processes.

  • Quick to adapt and eager to grow within a thriving, fast-paced environment.

  • Well-organized, vigilant, and competent in juggling multiple project details.

  • Proficient in working under pressure, adhering to deadlines, and embracing additional responsibilities proactively.

  • Outstanding communication abilities, both written and verbal, with proficiency in preparing detailed reports and presentations.

  • Collaborative spirit, a good sense of humor, and a driven, mission-oriented approach.
